HOPE stands for (Helping Others Practice Empowerment). In April 2016 in honor of Mothers In Crisis 25th anniversary, MIC received proclamations from the City and County designating every Friday as Hope Universe Day. On Hope Fridays, share hope and help with those in need.
April National Month of Hope is now live on the National Day Calendar Website. #nationalmonthofhope https://nationaldaycalendar.com/national-month-of-hope-april/. As a part of the HOPE Movement Mothers In Crisis rolled out the HOPE Not Hate Campaign encouraging everyone to spread messages of Hope Not Hate every Friday on Hope Universe Day.
Learn about the origins and purpose of April being designated as the National Month of Hope by looking at this docu-interview with Tammy Webb of Cumulus Broadcasting interviewing Dr. Rosalind Tompkins.
