Mothers In Crisis, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization comprised of women and men in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Mothers In Crisis’ mission is to link families and communities together for families to live drug free lives. Mothers In Crisis was founded in April 1991 by Dr. Rosalind Y.L. Tompkins. Mothers In Crisis continues to outreach to families by providing prevention, intervention, inspiration and support. Mothers In Crisis is concerned about families addicted to drugs and alcohol especially those using the drug “molly” which is the designer drug Ecstasy (MDMA).
Mothers In Crisis is currently implementing the Young Sisters In Success (YSIS) mentoring program for young adult women to learn leadership, effective communication, and ministry. The YSIS program is for young ladies who have a vision to help others and are willing to develop and grow in Christ.
